Redefining Laser Enucleation (HoLEP)
The surgical management of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) has undergone a paradigm shift. Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) has established itself as the modern gold standard, offering superior outcomes for large prostates compared to traditional TURP. However, the success of HoLEP depends heavily on the instrument’s stability and fluid management.
The Camjoy LRS105A System is meticulously engineered to address the specific challenges of high-energy laser surgery. Unlike modified TURP scopes where fibers are often unstable, the LRS105A features a Dedicated Laser Guide Channel within the working element. This isolates the fiber from the optical path, ensuring that high-power laser energy is delivered with pinpoint accuracy to the prostate capsule, while protecting the delicate telescope lens from thermal back-scatter.
At the core of the system is the Click-Locked Mechanism. In dynamic surgeries like HoLEP, instrument stability is paramount. Our quick-release locking system connects the working element to the sheath with a satisfying “click,” eliminating the rotational play found in traditional friction-fit systems. This ensures the surgeon maintains perfect orientation throughout the enucleation and morcellation phases.
HoLEP Specialized Design
- ✔ Fiber Stabilization: Eliminates tip wobble for precise cutting.
- ✔ Thermal Protection: Titanium tip resists laser heat damage.
- ✔ Optic Safety: Separate channels prevent lens pitting.
- ✔ Low Pressure: Maximized flow reduces intravesical pressure.
Engineering Excellence & Material Science
1. Superior Fluid Dynamics (Continuous Flow)
Visibility is the key to safety in laser surgery. Hemostasis can be challenging during the enucleation of large vascular adenomas. The LRS105A utilizes a Double-Sheath Continuous Flow System consisting of a 26Fr Outer Sheath and a 24Fr Inner Sheath.
This coaxial design creates a powerful laminar flow of saline: clear irrigation fluid enters through the inner sheath directly onto the surgical field, while cloudy fluid, blood, and tissue debris are rapidly evacuated through the outer sheath. This constant exchange maintains a crystal-clear field of view even during heavy bleeding, significantly reducing operative time.
2. Titanium Alloy Construction (W5011P)
Standard stainless steel working elements can become heavy during long procedures and are susceptible to thermal fatigue from scattered laser energy. The LRS105A offers the W5011P Working Element, crafted from high-grade Titanium Alloy.
Titanium offers two distinct advantages for HoLEP surgeons:
1. Weight Reduction: Titanium is approximately 45% lighter than stainless steel. This significant weight reduction minimizes hand fatigue during lengthy enucleation procedures.
2. Thermal Resistance: Titanium possesses superior heat tolerance. In the event of accidental laser reflection or fiber degradation, the titanium tip is far more resistant to pitting and thermal deformation than standard steel.
3. Universal Fiber Compatibility
We understand that hospitals utilize a variety of high-power laser generators (Lumenis Pulse, Dornier Medilas, Quanta Cyber Ho, etc.). The LRS105A is designed as an open platform. It includes a versatile set of Fiber Adapters (F5010 – F5016).
These adapters accommodate laser fibers with outer diameters ranging from 1.0mm to 1.6mm (core diameters from 200µm to 1000µm). Whether you are performing precise dusting with a thin 200µm fiber or rapid bulk enucleation with a thick 1000µm fiber, the LRS105A ensures a secure, wobble-free fit.
