In the field of endoscopic urology, “One Size Fits All” is a dangerous philosophy. While standard 26Fr resectoscopes serve the general population well, they pose significant risks for pediatric patients or adult patients suffering from urethral strictures, meatal stenosis, or narrow bladder necks. Forcing a standard instrument into a compromised urethra can lead to catastrophic mucosal tearing, false passages, and lifelong scarring.
The Camjoy LRS105C (Child Type) is the specialized answer to these anatomical challenges. It is the most compact laser resectoscope in our lineup, featuring an ultra-slim 22.5Fr Outer Diameter. Despite its diminutive size, it retains the advanced functionality of its larger siblings—including continuous flow irrigation, click-lock stability, and high-power laser compatibility.
Designed to work exclusively with the 2.9mm HD Telescope, the LRS105C provides a surgical solution where other instruments simply cannot fit. It allows urologists to perform HoLEP, tumor resection, and stricture management with the same technique they use for adults, but with an instrument scale appropriate for the most delicate anatomies.

Engineering The Micro-Resectoscope
1. The 22.5Fr / 21Fr Architecture
Reducing an instrument’s diameter usually comes at the cost of fluid flow. However, the LRS105C overcomes this through precision engineering.
Outer Sheath (S2218-5C): At just 22.5Fr, it is nearly 4Fr smaller than a standard resectoscope. This dramatic reduction transforms the ease of insertion.
Inner Sheath (S2120-5C): At 21Fr, it tightly houses the working element while preserving a dedicated inflow channel.
The gap between the 22.5Fr outer and 21Fr inner sheaths is calibrated to microscopic tolerances to ensure that despite the small size, a Continuous Flow of saline is maintained to cool the laser fiber and clear the visual field of blood.
2. The 2.9mm Visual System
The heart of the LRS105C’s slim profile is its optical core. It utilizes the 9302.30 Endoscope, which has a diameter of only 2.9mm (compared to the standard 4mm).
Despite the reduced diameter, this telescope utilizes high-density rod-lens technology to deliver a Full HD Image with a 30-degree field of view. This ensures that “going small” does not mean “going dark.” Surgeons retain the crystal-clear visualization needed to identify delicate landmarks like the ureteral orifices in a small pediatric bladder.
3. Titanium Alloy Precision (W5012P)
In a miniaturized system, the working element must be both lightweight and incredibly rigid to prevent bending. The LRS105C offers the W5012P Working Element, crafted from Titanium Alloy.
Heat Resistance: In the confined space of a 21Fr sheath, the laser fiber is closer to the metal walls. Titanium’s superior thermal properties prevent the tip from overheating during high-energy lasing.
Durability: Titanium provides the structural integrity needed to ensure the thin guide tubes do not warp, guaranteeing smooth instrument action year after year.
